Javier Checa

My name is Javier Checa, a freelance private chef , dedicated to artisanal haute cuisine at home in the privacy of the client’s home. Offering exclusive and unique gastronomic experiences makes it my goal to pamper my clients’ palates and take care of the smallest details. My training in prestigious hospitality schools and extensive professional experience in establishments with high quality standards give me a solid foundation to face any type of gastronomic challenge. My know-how offers a wide perspective of gastronomic offer that adapts to the taste of my clients. VIP clients and companies from different business fields have placed their trust in me to provide them with discretionary services along with a completely personalized gastronomic experience.

Training and Work Experience

My academic training began in 2001, the year in which I began the intermediate degree in cooking at the Higher School of Hospitality and Tourism of Madrid . Later I will continue my training by taking the higher degree until 2005, a period in which I won first prize in the V National Cooking Competition for Hospitality Schools . Thanks to this and my good academic results, I soon began to combine my studies with my work experience as chef de partie at La Terraza del Casino in Madrid , a gastronomic restaurant awarded with two Michelin stars , headed by Paco Roncero . After two years and acquiring knowledge of avant-garde cuisine, I went to France to work as head chef at the La Parisienne Restaurant , a place that has given me, over almost four years, a more mature appearance while at the same time giving me It allows you to travel to different corners of the world and learn different cooking styles. In 2010 I decided to return to Spain to undertake a new project for the Boutique Hotel and Restaurant of the same name, El Antiguo Convento . During this time, he studied the Master in Restaurant Innovation and Management at the Basque Culinary Center in San Sebastián . During this time I did internships in places such as El Celler de Can Roca and the Martín Berasategui Restaurant in Lasarte. Subsequently, in 2016, I decided to undertake my own personal project at the head of Chefka Experience , to offer direct contact with the client, as a private chef combining as a gastronomic advisor to this day.


The same philosophy and two different concepts...

The idea of creating Chefka Experience  was born from the need to offer an exclusive and totally personalized service. Attention, quality, craftsmanship, discretion, commitment and good service are the maxims with which I work. I offer you a unique gastronomic experience, so that you can enjoy it in an intimate environment and always taking care of all the details.

The type of cooking that I carry out is always seasonal, a careful cuisine, very personal of the author, which treats and takes care of the best product, a raw material of excellent quality, harmonized and fused with other types of cuisines in the world, gastronomic influences that I have been acquiring over the years, the result of my travels and my work.

But in addition to all this, I have created a new, more dynamic concept of gastronomic experiences, Chefka Experience . It is neither more nor less about creating unique and different sensations so that the client can enjoy them in a unique environment and in which gastronomy takes on a totally different dimension.
